Got a letter from CreditExpert?

As a member of our TOTALLY FREE MoneySavingExpert Credit Club, we just wanted to warn you there’s a chance you may get a letter in the post from Experian welcoming you to its CreditExpert service and indicating you will need to pay £14.99 a month.

That is baloney, so please rip up the letter and bin it (unless you’ve separately joined Credit Expert).

Some of the data we need for the MSE Credit Club comes from the UK’s largest credit reference agency, Experian, and you sometimes go through its verification process when you sign in.

Sadly a mix up by Experian meant an automated letter from CreditExpert has been sent to some people who logged into Credit Club last Wednesday and Thursday, including new joiners. That should not have happened.

Experian has apologised for the mistake.

If you have received a letter, sorry. If you receive one, ignore it. If you don't receive one – phew! You can continue to use the MSE Credit Club totally for free.

If you've any questions about this, you can contact us via creditclub@moneysavingexpert.com.
