Nectar double exchange at Sainsbury'sIncl clothing, homeware, electrical, stationery, frozen foods and gardening

Ended
Usually, 1,000 Nectar points get you £5 off your shopping at Sainsbury’s. But for the rest of April you’ll get double on certain items at 50 stores taking part, so 1,000 becomes £10, 2,000 becomes £20 and so on. Nectar rarely offers ways to boost points, so if you have a stash, now’s a good time to use them.

There are 50 participating stores. 5,000 is the maximum number of points you can convert per card and you must have at least 1,000 point on your card to participate.

What can I spend points on?

The money-off coupons must be spent on frozen foods, clothing, homeware, electrical, stationery or gardening. Go to the clothing and home-ware desk in-store and ask to swap.

Although the promotion finishes at the end of April, the coupons are valid till Tue 14 May 2013.

Anything else?

If you've not shopped in one of the participating stores in the past 12 months (as it's not your normal store), you will not be able to redeem your points right away.

50 free Nectar pointsComplete online survey

Ended
New and existing Nectar cardholders can get 50 free points for completing a short survey. Either log in to or register with Nectar then click on the yellow button on the left-hand side which says 'start survey'. There is currently no end date for this offer. The points equate to 25p to spend either in-store at Sainsbury's or at other online retailers.
MSE Debs says:

As 50 points only equates to 25p, it doesn't seem like a particularly strong offer, however, you'd need to spend £25 at Sainsbury's to get 50 points, so it's well worth doing! See what forumites are saying in the full 50 free Nectar points discussion thread.

More info
The points will be credited to your account within 28 days.

Free protection for all shopping!Section 75

There's a secret phrase that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. "Section 75" laws means your plastic must protect anything you buy over £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust you can still get your money back.

Although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards there is something else to fall back on if you paid on a Visa debit or electron card, or Visa credit card under £100 (otherwise go for Section 75). Known as Visa Chargeback, this is part of Visa's internal rules and not a legal requirement. Full details of Section 75, chargeback and how to claim in the Section 75 Refunds guide.
