Sign up the right way and you can effectively make a profit on Weight Watchers' 3 month online plan.
It's currently waiving the normal £30 sign-up fee. Then you only pay £11 a month, but sign up for three months via a cashback site and you can get £33.33 – which covers that cost meaning the whole thing is free.
Alternatively get free enrolment to Slimming World worth £10 with a £1 mag. Full how to in our Slimming World Deals Note.
How to get it
Step 1. Get cashback to cover its £33 three-month plan
Until Sun 15 Apr 2012 new Weight Watchers online customers can get £33.33 back via cashback site Topcashback* which effectively covers the £10.95/mth fee.
To do this, set up a free account at Topcashback, and when you sign up for Weight Watchers online three month plan you should earn £33.33 cashback, more than covering its £33 cost.
Warning! Cashback sites pay you because they get paid by Weight Watchers for sending it traffic. Yet as cashback isn't direct, and it involves tracking, there can be problems. While it usually works never consider the cashback 100% guaranteed. If you can't afford to pay in full, don’t do it.
If you’re new to cashback sites, read the Top Cashback Sites guide before continuing.
Step 2. Weightwatchers giving free sign ups (usually £30)
Alongside this, Weight Watchers online is currently offering free sign up (normal cost £29.95) when you take out this three month plan.
To get it, once you've clicked through from the Topcashback site to Weight Watchers, opt for the three month plan - it should say 'Sign up for FREE when you buy our 3 month plan'.
Step 3: Or even make a £1 profit...
To boost it even further you can use the 'Enter Promotional Code' box and insert the code 4-16-912-27149, which then wipes the sign up fee and add an extra £1.48 on top.
In other words factor in the cashback too and you make a profit.
Step 4: Ensure you cancel before it starts charging
If you don't want to carry on past the free three month period make sure you cancel before three months is up. However, don't cancel in the first month, as Topcashback has told us you then may not get the cashback.
If you don't cancel at all before the three months is up the plan will renew automatically and you'll be charged £10.95/month.
What do you get?
Weight Watchers is a weight loss scheme based on a points method. In a nutshell, you tell it how much you weigh and how much you want to lose and it'll tell you how many points you should eat.
This is a three-month deal for the online version of the scheme, so you don't go to weekly meetings or weigh-ins. What you get instead are: interactive tools to help track your weight loss based on the WW points system, recipe ideas and articles.
Any free alternatives?
While it's the easy points system that most people are after, there are a few free tools that offer weight loss help.
