Nectar logoNectar points double (at least) exchange*1,000 pts gets £10 restaurant voucher or £20 theme park vch

11 days left

Usually 1,000 Nectar points get you just £5 off your shopping at Sainsbury's, Argos, Homebase and a few other retailers.

But from Wed 23 Jul you can get:

  • 2x the value at PizzaExpress (1,000pts = £10)
  • 3x the value at Go Ape, Longleat Safari Park and other Nectar Local Days Out partners (1,000pts = £15)
  • 4x the value at certain theme parks incl Thorpe Park and Alton Towers (1,000pts = £20)
  • 4x the value at participating Nectar Swim pools (usually 500pts per swim, now 500pts = 4 swims)

Nectar rarely offers ways to boost its points, so this is a great way to max their value. Here's how:

  1. First, see the Nectar Double Up* page for a list of participating chains.
  2. You can then exchange points for vouchers online or at the customer service desk in any larger Sainsbury's store (not Local branches), any time until Tue 12 Aug.
  3. They must be redeemed at your chosen venue by Tue 30 Sep.

T&Cs vary for different vouchers - there's more info about those below with a full list of participating venues.

It's worth noting the double-up vouchers can't be used in-store at Sainsbury's.

National Rail logo2for1 attractions with National RailBuy train ticket & print vch to save up to £50

Save up to £50
Buy a National Rail ticket and register 'n' print a voucher from Days Out Guide to get 2for1 entry to some top UK attractions, incl Drayton Manor, Madame Tussauds, Legoland, London Zoo (see the full theme park list or the zoo and wildlife list).

You need to print a voucher for the relevant attraction (follow the link above and search for it) AND have a valid rail ticket bought from National Rail on the same day. It's worth doing this even if you’re not travelling by train – a cheap single ticket is available for a couple of quid, far cheaper than the entry ticket price (Thorpe Park is the most expensive at £50 on the gate).

So just stop by the nearest station on your way and pick one up, then present both to get your 2for1. Crucially, your rail ticket must show that you have travelled to one of the stations nearest the attraction. So for Thorpe Park, you need to have a ticket with an end destination of Staines or Chertsey.

The offer's valid until Thu 31 Oct, but check the voucher for each individual attraction's restrictions, as these vary.
MSE Freddie says:

Electronic ticket barriers can sometimes gobble up your ticket, so to make sure you don't lose your proof of travel, ask a member of the station staff to help you through.

Excludes family, advance and web tickets as well as Oyster cards, and tickets and travelcards bought from London Underground. Can't be used with other offers or promotions.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a secret phrase that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. "Section 75" laws means your plastic must protect anything you buy over £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust you can still get your money back.

Although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards there is something else to fall back on if you paid on a Visa debit or electron card, or Visa credit card under £100 (otherwise go for Section 75). Known as Visa Chargeback, this is part of Visa's internal rules and not a legal requirement. Full details of Section 75, chargeback and how to claim in the Section 75 Refunds guide.

If a link has a * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment to the site.

You shouldn't notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
