Spend Tesco points in-store and they're worth 1p, yet convert them to Tesco Rewards and they can be worth three or four times that value (see Boost Tesco points for details). Plus find old Tesco points you may not have spent. Read the Find Lost Tesco Points guide.

Expired Deals

Eurotunnel Le Shuttle logo£225 wine (norm £250) & FREE Eurotunnel tix*Or free P&O ferry tix. Via MSE Blagged code for Majestic Wine

Expired

If you're planning on stocking up on booze for the summer, you can stack an MSE Blagged code with an ongoing free ticket offer at Majestic Wine Calais*, to get a cracking deal.

When you pre-order £250-worth of beer, wine or spirits, you can get a free one or two-day Eurotunnel return ticket (not the Eurostar - see below) from Folkestone to Coquelles (just outside Calais, worth up to £80 in peak times) to collect it all. Or you can choose a free P&O ferry crossing from Dover to Calais (worth up to £300 in peak times).

We've also blagged a code to get you 10% off your order, so you can get £250 of wine for £225 and still qualify for the free ticket offer. Corking!

How to get this deal:

  • Go online to Majestic Wine Calais* or call 01923 298297 to pre-order your wine, beers or spirits (you'll pay when you get there).
  • At the online checkout, you'll be asked to choose whether you want a free Eurotunnel or P&O ferry crossing. You can also choose whether you collect your order in Majestic Wine's Coquelles or Calais store.
  • Tick the box which says 'I would like to enter instructions for the store team' and enter the code MSEBLAGGED by Sun 31 Jul to get 10% off your order.
  • When you collect your wine, you can either pay by card (you'll be charged in euros) or by cash/cheque (in pounds or euros).

Free Eurotunnel tickets

  • Majestic Wine Calais will contact you within 24 hours to ask if you'd like to arrange the free Eurotunnel ticket (for one car with up to nine passengers).
  • You can choose the date and time of your trip for any available day in 2016, and pick either a one-day or two-day return.
  • You'll need to pay a £50 deposit when you book your ticket, which will be taken off your order when you collect it.

Free P&O ferry tickets

  • If you select the ferry deal, you'll be sent an email within 24 hours with a unique booking code.
  • You then need to call 08716 645645 to book the crossing - you won't need to pay a deposit.

What is the Eurotunnel?

The Eurotunnel is a vehicle rail shuttle service to France, which means you can drive your car to pick up your order. Although they have similar names, the Eurotunnel is not the same as the Eurostar, which is a passenger train service and isn't part of this deal.

How good is this deal?

We compared prices and found that many of the bottles were cheaper at Majestic Wine Calais than in supermarkets in the UK. Not all of them are however, so always compare prices before you buy. For example, on Tue 7 Jun a bottle of Sailor Jerry spiced rum (70cl) was £17.99 at Majestic Wine Calais, but £15 at Asda.

Here are some of the better discounts we found at Majestic Wine using our code on Tue 7 Jun:

The code is only valid once per customer. Only one offer redeemable per car, per day.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
