Where can I get debt help?

We can't give personalised debt advice. But we can give you some pointers to help:

  • If you’re in debt crisis. The first port of call is our Debt Problems guide, which will guide you in the right direction. You can also post on the Debt-Free Wannabe Board in our forum - it's free to use. MoneySavers will be only too happy to give practical help and support, while you can also ask questions to trained debt advisors from the StepChange Debt Charity.
  • If you’re panicking and need to talk to someone straight away. We’d still urge you to read the Debt Problems guide first. While we can’t give you one-on-one help, there are some fantastic, non-profit, debt-help agencies that can. Jump to the Debt counselling section for contact details. The sooner you talk to them, the better. It may help you sleep at night.

We hope this helps. If you're still struggling with debt problems and feel like you can't go on, please click 'I've tried all this, but I need more help' below and we'll try to help you as much as possible.
