BT's recently announced big price changes. The bad news is that from 1 April line rental increases from 11 to 11.75, however opt for paperless billing and pay by direct debit and you can keep this down at 10.50.

While it's been boasting free weekend calls for all customers on its basic Option 1 tariff, it stealthily hiked daytime calls at the same time. A 60 minute call has gone from 4.5p to a whopping 96p.

Don't fall victim to this, instead keep the line and get the Primus Saver 2 tariff which gives free weekend as well as free evening landline calls, without paying a penny. Even better, beat the the high daytime and mobile charges by using override provider 18185 to save a fortune.
