Minimum requirements

Almost all of today's home computers will connect to broadband easily. Some older models (over six years old) may have less memory and less processing power than required.

Modem

For a faster and smoother connection, we recommend that you use the TalkTalk modem or wireless router. You can choose the free wired modem or the wireless router for £30 ⁷, which will be charged on your first TalkTalk broadband bill.

If you would prefer to use your own modem or router, please ensure it is an ADSL2+ modem or router.

Please note: to connect to your broadband using a wireless router you will also need a wireless-enabled computer or a wireless USB adapter. If you haven't got an adapter, you can buy one from the TalkTalk Shop.
