50p to Comic Relief for each NEW recipient of this e-mail!

It's Comic Relief time, in the midst of the worst recession for years. So as a way for people to give a little that doesn't cost anything, MoneySavingExpert.com is pledging 50p to Comic Relief per genuine new UK person joining the distribution list for the free weekly e-mail until midnight Saturday. This is, of course, on top of the usual charity fund donations.

Please tell everyone† you know, they'll save, Comic Relief's charities will gain.
And feel free to post it on other websites, facebook etc, provided that doesn't break their rules.

† In case of doubt, this includes friends, family, lovers, partners, colleagues, people you travel on the bus with, dance teachers, pharmacists & the woman you pass in the street with the weird slippers called Hilda (strange name for slippers).

Why are we doing this?

The logic's simple, this helps Comic Relief, it helps this site and it helps everyone who is joining to save money (it's based on the charity fundraising model devised by TheHungersite). The exact amount raised will be included in next week's e-mail.

Just so we don't bust the bank, there is a £50,000 cap on the donation, a massive 100,000 joining, which would crack any site record by 10 times including after major TV coverage; so it's very unlikely to be an issue.
