Arriva £1 day bus tickets code
Book via free app until 9 Jul. Gets unlimited travel in one region
ExpiredBus group Arriva is offering £1 day tickets on its regional bus network until Sun 9 Jul, via its free 'm-ticket' app for iPhones or Android devices.
Your £1 ticket will be a mobile ticket, so you pay within the app and show your ticket on your smartphone to the driver (see how to purchase the offer below). An adult mobile day ticket normally costs £2-£7.80 depending on which region you're in, so you can make a decent saving.
Arriva buses run in the North East, North West and South East of England, the Midlands, Yorkshire and Wales. The offer's not available on the red buses Arriva runs for Transport for London.
How do I get the £1 ticket?
- Download the free 'Arriva m-ticket' app for iPhone or Android and register.
- Go to the 'Buy Tickets' menu and select the region and zone you want to travel in.
- Choose the 'Catch the Bus Week' day ticket and enter the code CTBW.
- When you're ready to use the ticket on any one day until Sun 9 Jul, click 'Activate' (only on the day you want to travel) and then show your phone to the bus driver.
The £1 ticket gives you unlimited travel on the day it's activated, but you can only use it in the region you selected when buying the ticket. You can get this offer once per smartphone, so you'll only be able to get this deal on one day.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
