EXPIRED – ‘Free’ £10 cinema ticket via cashback

Seeing the latest blockbuster is never cheap, but here’s a deal that may get you a ‘free’ cinema ticket for any film you fancy. 50 Shades of Grey anyone?

There’s an offer available for 2,500 new members of the Topcashback website to get cashback which matches your spend up to £10 when buying a ticket at any UK cinema. To get it you’ll need to sign up* using your email address, buy a ticket from the box office at any cinema and upload a photo of your receipt (not your ticket!) to the Topcashback website via Snap & Save* by 11.59pm on Sun 22 Feb.

Topcashback told us there were over 2,000 redemptions left on Tue 17 Feb, so you’ll need to be quick if you want to get a ‘free’ cinema ticket.

It’s worth noting you won’t get the cashback if you buy your cinema ticket online, so make sure you buy it from the box office. You can only claim cashback for one cinema ticket, even if you buy more than one and they cost less than £10 in total.

If your ticket costs over £10 it won’t be free but you’ll still get £10 cashback. So it’s a decent saving as tickets normally cost from £4 up to £16 at London’s West End cinemas.

What are cashback sites?

Cashback sites pay you when you click through to retailers via them and make a purchase. Many of them also offer in-store cashback offers like this, where you upload a photo of your receipt. Usually the cashback is just a percentage of your spend, but sometimes they fund extra cashback from their marketing budgets to bring in new members – like this offer.

Your visit will be tracked, but it can take time for the money to be available for you to withdraw, so you will need to pay out first, before getting the cashback.

And please remember, this type of cashback isn’t 100% guaranteed, as there can be issues with tracking your purchase. It’s best to consider it a bonus if you get it, but not to let it drive your purchasing decisions. See our Top Cashback Sites guide for more info.
