Fore! If Danny Willett’s success at the Masters at Augusta last weekend has sparked your interest in golf, you can score a hole-in-one with some ‘free’ tickets (with a £1 postage fee) to the British Masters if you’re a Sky TV customer.
There are 20,000 ‘free’ tickets to the opening day (Thursday 13 October) of the tournament up for grabs and you can claim up to two tickets per person with a £1 postage fee. It is based at The Grove in Watford, Hertfordshire and while this is a special free day sponsored by Sky Sports, tickets start at £28.50 for other days – so it’s a great saving on a day out if you’re a golf fan.
How to get them
You’ll have to swing into action at 10am on Friday (15 April) when the free tickets go live online at Sky Tickets. You’ll need to enter your Sky ID log in details (or you can create one here) to verify you’re a Sky TV customer. The ‘free’ tickets will be available to Sky customers for 72 hours, after which they will be put on general sale if there are any left (last year 15,000 freebies went in the first 48 hours).
What is the British Masters?
The British Masters is a professional European Tour golf tournament which will be broadcast on Sky Sports. Former world number one Luke Donald will be in the driving seat (of a golf cart) hosting the event.
