EXPIRED – ‘Free’ cinema tickets for £2.40 spend on cleaning products

If you want to see a film on the big screen and scrub your home clean from top to bottom (not both at once), then this is a blockbuster of a deal for you…

If you buy any three Airwick, Dettol, Finish or Vanish products online at Tesco before Tuesday 19 July (excluding 20 June- 28 June), you can get two free Cineworld tickets.

The cheapest product included is Airwick air freshener (240ml). They’re £1.20 each and currently on a 3for2 deal, which means a £2.40 outlay would bag your freebie.

For now, this is only available if you order online at Tesco. There’s a minimum order of £40 and delivery’s from £1 to £7, so if you were going to do an online shop anyway this will be a nice bonus. From Wednesday 29 June, however, you will be able to get this deal in store too, which will make it easier if you’re not an online Tesco shopper (see the full T&Cs).

How do I do it?

1. First go online to Tesco and purchase any three qualifying products* (full list on Tesco’s site), as well as other groceries you need to reach the £40 minimum spend.

2. Once you receive your shopping, enter your details here (along with a valid clubcard number) before 11.59pm on Thursday 25 August in order to claim your free cinema tickets.

3. You should then receive an email with a code to get your free Cineworld tickets up to 14 days after submitting.

4. You then have until Friday 25 November to use them – you can use your code online (50p per booking fee) or at the box office.

How much do I save?

Adult tickets at Cineworld range from about £9-14 (more expensive in London), while child tickets range from £6-10. Two adult cinema tickets for the new movie Nice Guys would cost you £24.62 in the Cineworld closest to MSE Towers, so with this deal you save about 90% on the price.

Getting two of these tickets even after buying cleaning products makes it cheaper than the Meerkat Movies 2for1 deal.
