French video game company Ubisoft is giving away colourful 2D platformer Rayman Origins for free until Tue 13 Sep. The freebie’s available as part of a promotion which will see Ubisoft release a free digital PC game every month until December to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year.
You’ll need to install the correct software
The free games are only redeemable through Uplay, Ubisoft’s online store and game playing platform, so you’ll need to download it and create an account. Rayman Origins usually costs £10 on Uplay and is suitable for players aged seven and above. It was well received by critics and players when it was released on PC in 2012.
What free game is next?
The next free game, open world racer The Crew, will replace Rayman Origins on Wed 14 Sep. Games previously featured in the promotion include Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Splinter Cell.
