As an early Christmas treat, senior citizens can enjoy a free mince pie and hot drink at Morrisons cafes from 2.30pm till 5pm today only (Tue 6 Dec).
To claim your freebie, simply pop into any Morrisons cafe (find your nearest*), and mention the offer to staff at the till. You could also show them these posts from the Morrisons Facebook and Twitter pages, though you shouldn’t need to.
I’m still awaiting confirmation from Morrisons on who actually qualifies as a ‘senior citizen’. But from what I’ve seen in its social media posts, customers themselves can decide whether or not they feel they should be eligible to claim the freebie.
Of course, if you’re in your twenties and try blagging a free mince pie, you may be turned away – this is intended to be a nice festive gesture for the elderly.
I’ll update you here if the Morrisons press office confirms any further info.
