Post-Valentine’s Day cheap chocs – can you find ‘em?

Cupid has put his arrow away for another year so supermarkets are slashing the prices of Valentine’s Day treats to flog excess stock.

There are plenty of cut-price choccies and flowers for you to get your hands on in stores. Most have long best-befores, and some reduced items don’t even have a Valentine’s theme – so it could be a good time to stock up.  All supermarkets will have different items on offer, but here is what we’ve found so far (as of Wed 15 Feb):

Last year, I picked up tons of Valentine’s Day chocolate and a teddy bear, which I gave to my mum for Mother’s Day. This could be a MoneySaving way to tag the two celebrations into one – though not everything sold at Valentine’s will make an appropriate gift for your mum (I learnt this the hard way last year, when I picked up a chocolate lolly that said ‘hot stuff’ on it), so beware!
