There are few things in life that are certain… taxes, death and a Greggs on nearly every high street around the country. And if you’re a fan of its baked goodies, this deal will surely whet your appetite.
This is basically a little trick you can use to pick up a free coffee from Greggs (norm £1.55-£1.80) when you buy certain Greggs-branded products in Iceland* stores (find your nearest*). The only catch is they’re all frozen, so you’ll need to bake ‘em at home yourself.
Promotional packs will be marked with ‘enjoy a free coffee on us’ printed on the bottom. Just take the product to the till and you should be given a free coffee voucher (you may need to ask for it if the cashier forgets), which you can then exchange for your free cuppa at Greggs.
What packs are included?
To grab your free coffee, you’ll need to pick up one of the following packs with the promotion on it in Iceland:
- Greggs four sausage rolls (427g) – norm £1.60 (or two for £2.50 on offer until Sun 7 May)
- Greggs four cheese & onion rolls (427g) – norm £1.60 (or two for £2.50 on offer until Sun 7 May)
- Greggs two steak bakes (280g) – norm £1.60
- Greggs two chicken bakes (306g) – norm £1.60
You get one voucher for every pack purchased and Iceland told us there’s no limit – so you can buy as many packs as you want and you should get the same number of free coffee vouchers.
Prices do vary around the country, but individual sausage rolls at Greggs usually cost 90p and the cheapest coffee is usually £1.55, so although you’ll have to cook the sausage rolls yourself, you’re essentially getting four sausage rolls and a coffee for £1.60 instead of £5.15 if you purchased it all from Greggs. So if you wanted one or the other, you can essentially get one of them for free.
This offer is available in all Iceland stores and you can redeem the voucher in all Greggs stores. Iceland says the offer will run until all promotional packs sell out, but all vouchers will be valid until Mon 31 Jul.
