If you’ll be in London between now and this Sunday (28 Jan), there’s an easy way to bag yourself some FREE Cadbury chocolate…
Simply head to 57 Greek Street in the capital’s West End (W1D 3DX), and you’ll find Cadbury’s ‘Glass and a Half’ pop-up newsagents – where it’ll be handing out free chocolate bars in exchange for a ‘knick-knack’, eg, a trinket, plastic ring, key-ring or button. It’ll be open 10am-6pm each day.
The Cadbury pop-up shop will mirror the storyline in its latest advert, where a young girl attempts to buy a bar of chocolate for her mum’s birthday with (you guessed it) some ‘knick-knacks’ from her purse, which the shopkeeper kindly accepts.
So, yes, this is a PR stunt from Cadbury, based on an advert that pulls at the heartstrings. Yet we can’t complain as it’s also free chocolate, no strings attached.
It’ll be giving away 10,000+ chocolate bars (100g-120g) over the course of four days, but the shop’s likely to get pretty chocka – freebies usually draw a crowd – so be prepared to queue, especially during lunch hour and at other peak times.
Following this pop-up, Cadbury says it’ll be giving away free chocolate in Birmingham and Sheffield, and via some kind of ‘digital activation’, which, allegedly, will be available to everyone across the country. We’ve asked Cadbury to confirm all the terms and conditions for these giveaways and we’ll update you here when we know more.
