The ‘Tempur Challenge’ is back and for many it’s the kind of deal dreams are made of – what other offer have you seen where having a lie down gets you a £50 freebie?
Until Sun 4 Mar, you can take the ‘Tempur Challenge’ – basically, it’s an easy bit of market research – to claim a free travel pillow, subject to availability, which normally costs £50. It’s a deal worth getting out of bed for (or in this case, back in bed for).
You’ll only be allowed to claim one per address and if you’ve completed a previous challenge, you can’t go back and get another freebie.
How to get your free Tempur pillow
First off, visit a participating Tempur stockist (find your nearest) including selected Dreams, Bensons For Beds, John Lewis and Furniture Village stores, plus independent ones. This is likely to be popular, so it’d be best to visit during quieter periods. Once you’re there, tell staff you want to take the ‘Tempur Challenge’, which started on Mon 26 Feb.
After sampling a few different mattresses, you’ll be given a letter with a unique URL to complete a five-minute survey online and give some personal details (there’s an option to opt out of email marketing). It’s best to do the survey as soon as you can after visiting a store as stock could run out at any point.
Once you’ve completed the survey, a confirmation screen will give you a date to revisit the store to pick up your pillow. Last year a few people reported long delays, but Tempur has told us you should receive it by the end of March at the latest.
Tempur suggests you take a screenshot of the confirmation screen or print it to take with you when you collect your pillow, when you’ll be asked to provide proof of ID and residency (either a utility bill or a photocard driving licence). If you take the challenge at a John Lewis store or at Harrods, your pillow will be sent directly to your home address for free.
Obviously, £50 sounds a lot for a travel pillow and you can sometimes pick one up from £1 at pound stores but the one you’re getting here is a 26cm x 40cm ‘memory foam’ pillow from the posh bedding brand Tempur, which, far from being MoneySaving, sells £600 duvets and £4,000 mattresses. Luckily, there’s no purchase necessary to get the freebie. Here’s what you’ll get:

Last year when it ran this giveaway we had reports that some stores didn’t know about the offer and some people had a long wait for their pillows after completing the survey. Tempur has confirmed it has taken extra measures to ensure all stores are aware of the deal this year and told us everyone will receive their pillows by the end of March.
