Tesco magazine: February coupons, incl Burt’s Bees lip balm, Walkers Baked crisps
As a couponer, something that excites me every month is page three... of the free in-store Tesco magazine. It's honestly like a mini Christmas for me, opening up the mag to see what coupons are inside.
Obviously, it’s only worth using coupons for products you’d normally buy, and best to stack them with an in-store offer where you can so the saving is even bigger. Because of that, I'm going to make these blogs a regular thing – to let you know whether it’s worth picking up the magazine, and which, if any, coupons you can stack with other offers. I'll also take some snaps of what the magazine looks like so you know what to look out for.
£1 off Burt’s Bees lip balm
Normally £4 each, but currently on offer in Tesco at three for £8 (about £2.67 each). After the £1 off coupon, it'll be three for £7 (£2.33 each). The coupon’s valid until Tue 5 Mar, but the offer ends sooner on Tue 26 Feb.
My analysis: Not the cheapest price for a lip balm, but it's a good deal for stocking up if you buy this brand anyway.
25p off Tesco Pizza Pocket pastry
Priced at 75p in Tesco, so the coupon will make it 50p and it’s valid until Tue 5 Mar.
My analysis: An odd thing to have a coupon for, but if you buy these as a snack, it might save you some dough.
£2 off Love Beauty and Planet range
Priced at £5.99-£9 at Tesco, so will be £3.99-£7 after the coupon. It's valid until Tue 5 Mar.
My analysis: I’m not familiar with this brand, but its high ethical standards mean its products are quite expensive compared to most brands. So I wouldn't rush to use this coupon unless you’d normally spend this amount on shampoo etc.
50p off Walkers Baked crisps (starts 20 Feb)
Priced at £1.50 in Tesco, so the 50p off coupon will make these £1 for a pack of six. Do note, the coupon is valid from Wed 20 Feb until Wed 13 Mar.
My analysis: A long way from the free Walkers Baked we spotted in October last year, but still an okay deal if you buy Walkers multi-packs. Works out at about 17p per pack. Multi-packs like this go on offer quite regularly as well - so it's possible there'll be a chance (I hope so!) to stack this with an in-store deal before the coupon expires.
And that's it. A few decent things this month, but like always, don't be dragged into buying something you don't need just because there’s a coupon for it. See our full list of 100+ Supermarket Coupons for lots of other coupons available now.
What’s your best coupon you've seen recently? I'd love to know in the comments or on Twitter @MSE_Deals.
