100+ FREE digital Marvel & DC comic books, eg, Avengers vs X-Men, Batman & Spider-Man

Here’s a Marvel-lous deal if you’re a fan of the popular Marvel or DC Comics franchises. You can save the day (and the lockdown boredom) with 100+ free digital comic books for a limited time, including Avengers, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Black Panther and more.

Until Mon 4 May, Marvel Unlimited (its digital comics subscription service) is giving access to a curated selection of comic books completely free – there's no payment required.

You can either read the free comics online via your computer, or on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device via an app. Here's how to swoop in and bag yourself a bargain...

Go to Marvel Unlimited – choose a comic and select 'Read now', or download the free Marvel Unlimited app at the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.

Once you've opened the app, you'll see a red 'Free Comics' button on the landing page (see below) – this button will show all available free comic books for you to enjoy. Simply select a comic to read it.

Here are some of the free comics you can read:

DC Comics including Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman

Until Mon 8 June, if you go online to Read DC you can access 50+ totally free comics in its 'DC Essential Reads' section (34 first issues of some of its biggest stories), plus its Free Comics section.

To access the comics, you'll need to log in with an Amazon or Comixology account and add the comics you'd like to your cart.

The price of each of the free comics should be listed as $0.00 and before you can click 'Complete Order' you'll need to tick a box agreeing that you won't print the comics. Once you've completed your order, you'll be able to read the comics from your account.

Alternatively, download the free DC app at the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android. Once you've signed in, scroll along to the 'Free' section where you'll be able to download the comics onto your device.
