O2 logoO2 Priority deals for EVERYONE!Not an O2 customer? We've found a loophole

Ongoing

O2 Priority is a deals app for O2 smartphone users. We’ve seen offers including free coffee, chocolate, Christmas cards, bottled drinks and nail varnish.

O2 users can download it for free from Apple's App Store, Google Play for Android, or Microsoft's Windows store. If you're not on O2, there's a trick for you to get it on your smartphone too.

Not on O2? How to get it

O2 says anyone with an O2 mobile – including Pay and Go, Pay Monthly and business customers – is eligible to get it. So if you've ANY unlocked phone, it's easy.

1. Order a free Pay As You Go Sim card from O2 and insert the Sim into your smartphone.

2. Connect to wi-fi and download the O2 Priority app.

3. Open the app and enter your O2 phone number (it should be on the Sim packaging). Then O2 will send you a text with your activation code, which you'll need to enter in the app.

4. Now insert your normal Sim and (fingers crossed) the app should still work - it's meant to disappear if you insert other Sims, but we've tried it on a few unlocked handsets, and the app's stayed usable.

British Red Cross logoFree British Red Cross 'Baby & Child First Aid' appAvailable for Apple and Android devices

Ongoing
The British Red Cross has launched a new, free Baby & Child First Aid app after findings showed that more than 85% of UK parents have not attended a first aid course for children.

It's available for Android and Apple devices and will remain free indefinitely.
MSE Debs says:

The Baby and Child First Aid app is the first of its kind and contains clear instructions on what to do in many emergencies. Handily, most of the information and videos are stored on the app, meaning no internet connection is needed for viewing, although some features (such as the nearest hospital finder tool) do require you to go online. The bite-sized videos make it easy to learn about first aid while juggling childcare demands.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.

If a link has a * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site.

You shouldn't notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link. For more details, read How This Site Is Financed.

For the sake of transparency, so you can check there's no difference, here are duplicate versions of the * links that don't help MoneySavingExpert.com: Currently no affil links.
