The Body Shop 40% off selected items

ExpiredIf you go in store or online to The Body Shop*, you can 40% off selected items in its Black Friday sale until 9am on Tuesday 3 December. There's no code needed, the discount is automatically applied.
When we checked on Friday 29 November, there were 75 items included in the offer. Some lines are excluded, such as gift sets, but mostly we think this is a good offer as it's a flat 40% off. Love Your Body Club (Body Shop's loyalty club) vouchers can also be used as payment or part payment with this deal, which is a good way to maximise the discount.

ExpiredIf you go online or in-store (find your nearest) to shoe retailer Clarks, you can get 'up to 30% off almost everything' for Black Friday until 11.59pm on Monday 2 December.
Delivery's £4.95 or free if you're spending £75 or more, and click & collect is free.
What does ‘up to 30% off almost everything' mean?

- Max discount we saw: 67%
- Typical discount based on 10 random items: 33%
What is the discount based on: The Advertising Standards Agency has previously stated that at least 10% of items should be available at the 'up to' price.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
