The Shard logo'Free' kids tickets to The Shard LondonUp to two kids free (norm £20 each) per £26 adult ticket

12 days left

From Sat 21 Oct, up to two kids aged 4-15 go 'free' to The View from The Shard in London any day until Sun 29 Oct. You must buy a full-priced adult ticket (£25.95 if booked 24 hours in advance online) and select one or two free tickets for children - no voucher's needed.

The View from The Shard gives views of London from 72 floors up and discounts are fairly rare, so this is a good deal which could save you up to £39.90 (kids' tickets are £19.95 each). Under-fours go free anyway. You can download an activity pack before you go, or collect one on the day.

Tickets are allocated in 30-minute time-slots subject to availability, but you can stay as long as you want. Phone bookings (0844 499 7111) carry a £1.75 fee, so it's best to book online. You can print your tickets at home or collect them on the day.

More info

Excludes gift certificates. As tickets are booked per 30-minute slot, you must arrive inside 29 minutes, but if you think you'll miss your slot, it's best to call 0844 499 7111. Maximum of three adults, six children per booking.

In the event of zero visibility on the day of your visit, The Shard may (at manager's discretion) issue you a voucher for another visit for free within three months. Speak to a staff member at the ticket desk on level one to see if there's a chance they will.

Expired

From 7am on Mon 16 Jan only, if you go in person to The View from The Shard in London (near London Bridge station), you might be able to get a 'Love London' card for £20.17 each. Each card will get you free entry for one year, but you'll need photo ID (passport or driving licence) in order to get this offer.

The View from The Shard gives views of London from 72 floors up, and discounts are fairly rare, so this is a good deal which could save you £25.95 every time you visit (the normal admission price for adults). Under-fours go free. You can download an activity pack for kids before you go, or collect one on the day.

Tickets are allocated in 30-minute time-slots subject to availability, but you can stay as long as you want. With the 'Love London' card you can't book in advance, and will have to turn up on the day for entry.

MSE Rhiannon says:

Last year, this offer was only open to residents of London. This year it's open to all but you'll still have to go to The Shard in Person to get this offer. Last year, there were long queues and cards sold out in six hours, so even if you can't get there for 7am it's worth a look later in the day if you're in the area.

More info

The person buying the card must be present. You can't buy the card for other people as photo ID is required. You can buy the card for children - they won't need photo ID, but they will need to be with you on the day. The 'Love London' card doesn't give discounts on any other events at The View From The Shard.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.

You shouldn't notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links.
