Thompson & Morgan logo36 plug plants 7 all-in (norm 25)*Lucky dip, eg, petunia, geranium, marigold. Plus 'free' snips

Expired

Go via this MSE Blagged Thompson & Morgan* link to get a bundle of 36 plug plants for £7 all-in, normally £25 all-in (£19.98 plus £4.95 delivery). You'll also get 'free' garden snips, which are normally £7.99 on their own. The discount code TAF272 should be added automatically to your order.

The offer ends at 11.59pm on Sun 25 Mar, or when 10,000 plant bundles have gone, whichever's sooner – so go quick if it’s something you want.

What will I get in the bundle?

It will be a lucky dip and could contain any of the following: petunia, lobelia, geranium, marigold, gazania, bacopa, rudbeckia, nicotiana, verbena, impatiens, laurentia or pansy. You'll receive at least three different species.

The plants will arrive as small plug plants (3cm-9cm depending on variety) and Thompson & Morgan says they'll need planting up in pots of 7cm-ish diameter in a greenhouse, on a windowsill or conservatory for a few weeks until the risk of frost has passed. Thompson & Morgan says they should flower from May.

The offer is limited to one per transaction so if you want more than one bundle, you'll have to place two orders.

When will they be delivered?

Thompson & Morgan says the bundles will be dispatched within two to three weeks of ordering. The plants will arrive labelled so you'll know which varieties you've got.

Van Meuwen logo9 magnolia plant (norm 34ish)*Or two for 13, four for 19. Pink & white blooms in summer

Expired

If you go via this Van Meuwen* MSE Blagged link - the code TM_VAF1 should automatically be applied at the basket stage - you can get one magnolia bare root plant for £8.94 delivered (£4.99 plus £3.95 delivery).

It’s normally £34 all-in and the next cheapest we could find is £12 delivered from Van Meuwen via Groupon - the next cheapest after that is £24.98 delivered from Gardening Express. It's one order per person and the offer ends at 11.59pm on Sun 4 Mar, or when all 10,000 bundles have been sold, whichever comes first.

If you want more than one, you can also get two for £12.93 delivered (norm £59.98 plus delivery), or four for £18.91 delivered (norm £119.96 plus delivery).

How will they arrive?

Van Meuwen says the bundle should be despatched within 24 hours, but this may vary due to weather conditions. It says if planted now, they should start to flower from April to May, then sometimes again in August and will come with full growing instructions.

You can plant straight away, however it's best not to try to plant them in completely frozen ground or if freezing conditions are expected - plant them in containers in a sheltered area instead and protect from any snow.

MSE Rhiannon says:

This is a really good option if you'd like something that will flower twice a year, year after year. You can start them off in pots - which is probably best due to recent inclement weather - and then plant them out in their final position later.

Thompson & Morgan logo425 bulbs for 10 del (norm 30)*5 varieties, incl allium & gladioli. Plant now for summer

Expired

If you go via this Thompson & Morgan* MSE Blagged link - the code TAF271 should automatically be applied at the basket stage - you can get a bundle of 425 spring planting bulbs in five different varieties (incl allium & gladioli) for £9.94 delivered (£4.99 plus £4.95 delivery). It's one per person and the offer ends at 11.59pm on Sun 18 Feb, or when all 10,000 bundles have been sold, whichever comes first.

This bundle would normally cost £29.94 (£24.99 plus £4.95 delivery) and the next cheapest we could find a similar bundle bought separately was about £48 including delivery, so £9.94 all-in with this deal gives you a blooming good saving.

How will they arrive?

Thompson & Morgan says the bundle should be delivered by the end of February and the bulbs will arrive boxed, in five separate bags, all named and tightly packed. It says if planted now, they should start to flower from June throughout summer and will come with full growing instructions. The bulbs are hardy, however it's best not to try to plant them in completely frozen ground - if you're expecting a long frost you could plant them in containers in a sheltered area instead.

MSE Rhiannon says:

As daylilies are perennial, once established they will not die off at the end of the year like an annual, but with proper care should last for years. The flowers only last for a day (hence the name), however, you'll get new blooms daily within the flowering period to keep your garden fresh.

MSE Rhiannon says:

As this hellebore is perennial, once established it will not die off at the end of the year like an annual, but with proper care should last for years. As you get a 12cm potted plant, you can dress it up with some ribbon as a Christmas table centrepiece, then plant it outdoors to establish once the festivities are over - unlike a poinsettia (the green indoor plant with the red leaves) which is a houseplant only.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
