Go to Argos online or in-store (find your nearest) and you can get up to 50% off selected toys until 11.59pm on Tuesday 29 September.

When we checked on Friday 11 September, there were over 500 items included in the sale online, with popular brands such as Hot Wheels, Lego, Barbie and more.

As it's a sale, availability of some items is likely to be limited, so go quick if there's something you're after. Here are a few examples we spotted:

• Hot Wheels Action Loop Cyclone Challenge Track set – £17.50 (was £35). Next cheapest when we checked, £29.94 at Amazon.

• Barbie Chelsea Pop-Up Doll House with doll & accessories – £26.40 (was £40). Next cheapest when we checked, £28.99 at Very.

• Lego Disney Stitch & Scrump Figures building toy – £48 (was £60). Same price at Amazon when we checked.

Got a Nectar card linked to your Argos account? Until Tuesday 15 September, you can get five times more Nectar points when purchasing selected items in this sale (they'll be clearly marked, but don't use this as an excuse to buy things you don't need).

Delivery's from £3.95 for small items, increasing to £6.95 for larger items such as furniture. Click & collect is free.

If you shop in-store at discount retailer B&M (find your nearest), you can get two toys for £20 as part of an ongoing deal. Items that are part of the promotion will be clearly marked.

When we checked, there were over 190 items included in the deal, but what’s available will vary between stores. It includes popular brands such as Barbie, Disney and Peppa Pig.
