If you're celebrating Valentine's Day this year, we've a bouquet of ideas that'll keep the costs low and the romance high.
Romance is lovely, but over-commercialised pressure isn't, and there are plenty of free things you can do instead of buying gifts. Yet if you are going to spend (there's really no need), we've rounded up the top last-minute deals below.

These are some of the cheapest prices we see throughout the year for prosecco and champagne. While the very cheapest time is usually during the festive period, many of the bottle prices below are the same as they were then, so this can be a corking time to buy.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
