World Cup 2018 is still in full swing and with England having made it through to the latter stages, firms are latching onto footie sales opportunities left, right and centre - you could even grab 'secret' flash codes during England games, with previous discounts having come from beauty brand Benefit and retailers such as New Look and Just Eat among others.

We’ve rounded up some of the best deals below, on everything from £1 England flags and England shirts to cheap beer & cider and takeaway codes - you may even bag double Nectar points or a free dog toy. Please remember with the booze deals, be Drinkaware.

Cheap football flags, balls & shirts

Poundland logo5ft England flags for £1Plus car flags and bunting

Ongoing

If you want to show your support for England at the World Cup on the cheap, Poundland is currently offering 5ft England flags for £1 in stores.

It’s also £1 for a two-pack of England car flags and flag bunting, though what’s available will depend on stock in your local store (find your nearest).

argos sale logo£13 official Adidas World Cup 2018 footballSee where's cheapest for the balls being used in Russia

Ongoing

Football fans wanting to replicate the World Cup action can pick up an official Adidas Telstar adult football for £13.20 delivered at Kitlocker. The next cheapest price we spotted on Wed 11 Jul was £14.99 in store at Argos* (find your nearest*), or £18.94 delivered online.

If you're not keen on the style, Adidas is selling a range of more expensive official World Cup 2018 Telstar balls, although we'd suggest comparing prices elsewhere before buying one as it's not been the cheapest place to get them when we've looked online.

Aldi is also currently selling an official FIFA Russia 2018 adult ball for £6.99 (£9.94 delivered), although unlike the Adidas Telstar balls, it isn't a replica of the ones being used at this year's tournament.

Nike Store logoWorld Cup 2018 official replica England shirts £60Plus kids' shirts from £40. Or older/non-replica ones for less

Ongoing

Official replica football shirts aren't MoneySaving, but if you really want to wear one while cheering on England at the World Cup, we've listed the best prices we’ve found in stores and online below. PS: If you’re planning any World Cup parties, make sure you’ve looked at our Pizza & Takeaway Deals.

As England's progressed in the tournament stock's become an issue, meaning prices have increased and certain sizes or colours have become much harder to find, or completely sold out online.

Here are the cheapest England home (white) and away (red) shirts we found on Wed 11 Jul:

  • Men's home shirt £60 at JD Sports (£63.99 delivered). Next cheapest, home shirt and away shirts £64.95 at Nike.
  • Women's medium home shirt £54.99 at Sports Direct* (£59.98 delivered). Next cheapest, small away shirt £59.99 delivered at Kitbag. SOLD OUT ONLINE
  • Junior (7-14yrs) home shirt £39.99 at Decathlon (£43.98 delivered). Next cheapest, away shirt £39.99 at Sports Direct* (£44.98 delivered).
  • Kids' (3-7yrs) home and away kits including shirt, shorts and socks £45 at JD Sports (£48.99 delivered). Next cheapest, home kit £45 at Spurs Shop (£49.99 delivered).

Not fussed about having the latest shirt?

You could save money and still show your support by looking for an official England replica shirt from previous years. For example, we’ve spotted men’s 1998 World Cup shirts for £33.95 at Pro Direct, and junior 1990 World Cup shirts for £24.99 at Sports Direct*.

And as the World Cup is big business, many retailers are jumping on the bandwagon and selling officially licensed or own-brand England gear, so it's worth keeping an eye out in supermarkets for cheap England clothing.

Nectar logoEarn double Nectar points at Sainsbury's?*If England beat Croatia. Valid on £1+ spends 10-11 Jul

NOW ENDED

If you're spending at least £1+ at Sainsbury's* on Tue 10 Jul or Wed 11 Jul, remember to scan your Nectar card, as if England beat Croatia in the World Cup semi-final you'll bag double nectar points on whatever you've bought. See our Loyalty Boosting guide for more tips.

Obviously, we're not suggesting you spend money at Sainsbury's just to get the points - especially as it isn't guaranteed England will win (though we hope they do). This is just a nice bonus if you're planning to shop at Sainsbury's anyway.

There are some exclusions from the qualifying spend - eg, fuel, tobacco, spirits and liqueurs, first-stage baby milk, Tu clothing online and gift cards (and a few more, see full T&Cs and exclusions*).

The extra points will be added within 28 days of England beating Croatia on Wednesday. Yet of course, if England don't win, you'll just get the normal amount of Nectar points.

Takeaway & food deals

Pizza Hut Delivery logoPizza Hut 50% off pizzas when you spend £20*Minimum spend required for delivery

Every day

You can get 50% off pizzas when you spend £20+ at Pizza Hut Delivery* until Sun 2 Sep. Only pizzas - not sides, desserts or drinks – will count towards the £20 minimum spend.

Select the offer on its website and enter your postcode to see if it's available at your local (see 'more info' below for exclusions). The deal includes pre-set recipes and 'create your own' pizzas with up to four toppings.

There's a minimum spend for delivery (it varies depending on the branch) after the discount has been applied, so if you’re not spending that much you’ll have to collect.

When Pizza Hut has run similar deals in the past, sides have counted towards the minimum spend (though the 50% off was still only on pizzas). We're still waiting for Pizza Hut to confirm full details of this promotion.

More info

Valid at participating Pizza Hut Delivery outlets only, not restaurants. Also excludes Thorpe Park and Jersey. Not valid in conjunction with any other offers unless specified.

Heartier logoFree-range BBQ meat hamper £30*Via code. Costs £47ish plus delivery elsewhere

2,000 avail

You can get a 'BBQ meat hamper', including T-bone, flat iron and gammon steaks, pork chops and burgers, for £29.95 all-in – £25 plus £4.95 delivery. Simply enter the MSE Blagged code MSEWORLD online at meat supplier Heartier* (formerly Market Porter). It's all free-range, outdoor-bred and reared, UK meat.

It's normally £56 all-in and we found ordering the same meat delivered to your door would cost £47+ from supermarkets or other retailers – so you should be able to make a tasty saving with this deal. If you're having a World Cup party, see our full World Cup 2018 deals round-up.

The offer ends at 11.59pm on Mon 16 Jul or when 2,000 bundles go, whichever's sooner. This total is spread across both this and a bigger bundle as well (see below).

The meat will be vac-packed fresh (not frozen), but can be frozen - Heartier told us refrigerated shelf life from receipt will be at least eight days for the beef steaks, 10 days for the gammon, six days for the pork chops, and four days for the burgers.

Heartier delivers Tuesday to Saturday, and you can choose your delivery day. You can order meat until 1.30pm for delivery the next day. Sadly, it doesn't deliver to all postcodes – see 'More info' below for details.

What's included in the 'BBQ meat hamper'?

We've listed what you'll get below, as well as the price you'd pay for similar from a supermarket.

  • One T-bone steak 454g (£19.79 for similar at Graig Farm Organics)
  • Two flat iron steaks 454g (£10.74 for similar at Eversfield Organic)
  • Two gammon steaks 454g (£6 for similar at Waitrose)
  • Two pork chops 454g (£6.31 for similar at Ocado)
  • Two quarter pounder beef burgers 227g (£2.50 for similar at Ocado)
  • Two quarter pounder pork and apple burgers 227g (£2.50 for similar at Treflach Farm)

We calculated this box bought separately elsewhere would (very roughly) cost £47.84, and you'd need to meet minimum spends online, and pay for delivery on top, so we reckon paying £30 all-in with this deal is worth having a butcher's at.

For details about Heartier, see 'More info' below.

Want a bigger bundle? Get a £40 hamper instead...

If you enter the MSE Blagged code MSECUP you can get a bigger hamper* for £39.95 (£35 plus £4.95 delivery), including all of the above plus the following:

  • One T-bone steak 454g (£19.79 for similar at Graig Farm Organics)

So, we reckon this bigger box bought separately would (very roughly) cost £67.63 plus delivery from supermarkets or other retailers. Heartier normally sells it for £76.

MSE Tom says:

We've covered a few Heartier deals, including when they were called Market Porter, and they've had positive feedback from MoneySavers. Here are some examples:

Laura tweeted: "My pork loin steaks from @MarketPorterUK were so ridiculously delicious. I cannot wait to eat my other cuts from the MSE deal. Such a treat!"

Marianne said: "I bought one of your Christmas turkey packages via a discount offer on Martin Lewis' website...What can I say? Everything, from the delivery onwards, was absolutely top notch".

Sarah said: "Fantastic turkey - one of the best we have had."

What is Heartier?

Heartier is the new name of online meat retailer Market Porter. Since 2014, it has worked with free-range British meat producers to deliver meat directly from producer to customer - think of it as a middle-man.

AB31 onwards, FK17-21, HS, IV, KA27, KA28, KW, PH15 onwards, ZE, TR21-25, PA20 onwards, Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Scilly Isles, Northern Ireland & Isle of Man.

Both codes are limited to one use per person. If you want to buy both bundles, you'll need to do it in two separate orders.

There's a minimum spend of £10.99 if you want delivery, but if you're happy to collect there's no minimum spend - we ordered a small cheese and tomato pizza (norm £10.99) for collection at our local branch using the code and had £3.63 knocked off at the checkout.

Domino's voucher codes & logoDomino's 35% off £25 student discountVia Student Beans code for online spend

Every day

Students can get 35% off a £25+ online spend at Domino's* by entering a Student Beans promo code at the checkout.

It's free to sign up to Student Beans with your university details and the offer's valid for collection or delivery at participating restaurants. It excludes 14/21 piece chicken sides, ice creams and drinks, and can't be used with any other offer.

It’s also worth checking out our Domino’s deals page as there may be other offers that work better for you.

Just Eat logoJust Eat 20%-30% off selected takeaways*Check for a red flag to see if your local is included

Ongoing

If you go online to Just Eat* you can get between 20% and 30% off selected takeaways. This is an ongoing offer, but the takeaways participating change from week to week - so it's a bit of pot luck whether the restaurant you want is included.

To see if you can get money off a takeaway near you, simply enter your postcode* and look for the ones marked with a red flag stating the amount of discount. When we did a search with a London postcode, lots came up with 20% off but a few had 25% or even 30% off.

You'll only get the discount if you reach a minimum spend, which varies between restaurants (in most cases it's £20-£30), and the money should be deducted automatically for you at the checkout - but make sure you double check the amount before you order.

It's not valid with any other Just Eat offers or discount codes.

While in most cases this discount should make Just Eat the cheapest way to order, it's worth checking the price of ordering direct from a restaurant if they offer a delivery service as sometimes it can work out cheaper than ordering through a third party.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
