Want a special edition 'Buy and Keep' film from Sky? Your DVD may not have all the bells and whistles
If you're about to buy a special edition film from the Sky Store, such as Beauty and the Beast, don't expect the DVD version to be all-singing all-dancing.
The Buy and Keep option on the Sky Store, means customers can download a film to their Sky box and be sent a DVD of it through the post.
But Sky has said the special edition extras on the newly released Beauty and the Beast film, such as as a sing-a-long version and behind the scenes documentaries, are only available on the downloaded version - viewers will only be sent a standard DVD.
Sky said Beauty and the Beast is one of the first films to be released on its store with bonus content, and it says the fact these features are 'digital only' is displayed on screen to customers purchasing to Buy and Keep via Sky Q, Sky + and the Sky Store website. The buy and keep special edition costs £13.99.
One MoneySaver Andrew was caught out, he said: "I agree the listing also says that the digital version included the sing along version and other extras. Which I would expect being the special edition. It does not say the DVD would be the standard one or not include these features."
A Sky spokesperson said customers who want to discuss purchases can contact the customer services team.
