Asda is handing out 15 goodwill vouchers after it was forced to cancel some of its online deliveries this weekend due to a 'technical glitch'.

The supermarket's Twitter feed was flooded with complaints on Sunday after customers received text messages warning orders may be late or cancelled. Here are a few examples:

An Asda spokesperson said: "Due to an unforeseeable technical glitch that occurred overnight, a small percentage of grocery home shopping orders had to be cancelled.

"As an apology to those customers affected by the glitch, we have provided a full refund along with a 15 voucher for their next order."

Asda says any refunds will be done as soon as possible, and customers can choose to resubmit their order if they wish now the glitch is fixed.
