Jenny Holliday
Jenny joined MSE in February 2024 on a maternity cover contract as an Assistant Editor working with the Deals and Features team. She enjoyed it so much she stayed on as the team's Senior Writer. Jenny is passionate about sharing stories, and proudly encouraging the team to write blogs about their own experiences of MoneySaving, which has led to blogs on everything from a holiday scam to foraging.
A lifestyle journalist for over 20 years, Jenny has worked at Metro newspaper, BBC Three and PA Media, as well as writing for women's magazines including Red, Psychologies, Woman&Home and Good Housekeeping. She brings that experience to MSE, writing about everything from car boot sale tips and tricks, to saving money on your ski holiday, and gardening on a budget whatever size your plot.
Working at MSE has been a revelation for Jenny, who would have described herself as a keen shopper. She is now more mindful of the "money mantras" when hitting the high street and retains a proud love of charity shopping.
Jenny moved to the Cotswolds in 2020 with her husband, where they now have two dogs and are renovating (on a strict budget, of course!) a house. In her spare time, she walks the dogs, enjoys going to local pubs and seeing friends. Jenny trained as a coach in lockdown and brings her coaching skills to her role at MSE.
