  • Some clearance stock can be cheaper in store but the range on Argos's eBay outlet* makes it worth a look.

Most products it sells are new, and where items are refurbished, they're clearly noted.

  • There are always ways to save money at Argos*, so even if there isn't a cracking discount code or sale out there that works for you, don't assume you can't cut your costs further.

Ways to save money at Argos include:

    • Free Check & Reserve. This allows you to save on delivery costs by reserving an item online and collecting it from an Argos store (find your nearest*). Of course, this will depend on your local store having your item in stock.
    • Try haggling. We polled 1,400 MoneySavers to find out in which shops they had most success haggling, and 17% said they'd managed to blag a discount at Argos - so it's probably worth a try if you're brave enough. Read our Haggle on the High Street guide for more haggling tips.
    • 'Free' Argos vouchers. Argos regularly does an offer where you can get a 'free' £5 voucher when you spend £50, or a £10 voucher when you spend £100, to use on your next Argos visit.
    • Check out similar retailers, eg, Amazon and Tesco Direct. If you're not committed to buying from Argos, check out our deals from other places such as AmazonJohn Lewis and Tesco Direct, where there may be a better offer.

    • Had a problem with Argos? There’s a free online tool you can use to complain – it helps draft, manage and if necessary escalate your complaint. It’s offered by a firm called Resolver, which we like so much we work with it to help people get complaints justice – you can use it to complain to Argos*.

The Argos* Black Friday sale began on Fri 22 Nov, a full week ahead of the day itself, and is due to end on Tue 3 Dec. It's released a range of discounts across most categories, some as much as 50% off the normal price. On many products, Argos is now advertising its own lowest-ever price. Though make sure you check prices elsewhere before you buy, as we've found other retailers such as Amazon and Currys price-matching many of its deals.

The Black Friday sale is available both online and in store. Delivery's £3.95 and click and collect is free.

    What's included?

Some strong deals we found at 00.27am on Fri 29 Nov include:

    Check for price-matching

If you're after a specific product, check Argos' rivals such as Currys and John Lewis, which might, in some instances, offer a longer guarantee or other incentives. Last year we found that some items were cheaper at Amazon and AO, too. Compare prices using Google ShoppingPrice Spy and PriceRunner to enure you're getting the best deal.

    Check back for new deals

Argos says that there will be new deals added later in the week and for Cyber Monday, so check back if there's something specific you're hoping will be reduced.

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

  • 25% off Sainsbury's Tu clothing

    25% off Sainsbury's Tu clothing

Automatic discount in store & online

You can get 25% off most items in the Sainsbury's Tu* clothing range, until 11.59pm on Mon 2 Dec. The offer is running both online and in larger Sainsbury's stores (find your nearest* – there’s an option to show stores that stock clothing). If Argos* is more convenient for you, the same offer can be found there both online and in store.

There's no need to enter a code as the discount is applied automatically. Delivery's £3.95, or you can click & collect in store for free (though at Sainsbury’s only if spending £20 or more).

Sainsbury's has told us there are a few brands excluded, which are Izabel, Izabel Curve, Solo, Feverfish and Snuz (baby), but everything else will have 25% off.

If the Tu range isn't quite what you're after, take a look at our other Fashion & Beauty deals.
