If you click a link with an * to go through to a provider, we may get paid. This usually only happens if you get a product from it. This is what funds our team of journalists, and keeps us free to use. Yet there are two crucial things you need to know about this.
- This never impacts our editorial recommendations – if it's in, it's in there because we independently rate it best.
- You'll always get as good a deal (or better) than if you went direct.

There are always ways to save money at Argos*, so even if there isn't a cracking discount code or sale out there that works for you, don't assume you can't cut your costs further.
Ways to save money at Argos include:
- Free Check & Reserve. This allows you to save on delivery costs by reserving an item online and collecting it from an Argos store (find your nearest*). Of course, this will depend on your local store having your item in stock.
- Try haggling. We polled 1,400 MoneySavers to find out in which shops they had most success haggling, and 17% said they'd managed to blag a discount at Argos - so it's probably worth a try if you're brave enough. Read our Haggle on the High Street guide for more haggling tips.
- Check out similar retailers, eg, Amazon and John Lewis. If you're not committed to buying from Argos, check out our deals from other places such as Amazon and John Lewis, where there may be a better offer.
If you spot any hot deals out there we have missed (we are human after all!), please let us know on Twitter @MSE_Deals or by emailing us at msedeals@moneysavingexpert.com.

Argos Black Friday discounts on 100s of items
Including Ninja air fryer £139 (normally £219). Some items price matched or beaten
ExpiredUpdate 7.10am Friday 24 November: Argos says more items have been added to the sale. Some good deals we found include Ninja air fryer for £139 (normally £219) which is the cheapest its ever sold it for. Though some items are being price-matched.
Argos* has discounted hundreds of items for Black Friday across tech, household appliances and beauty, as of Wednesday 1 November until Tuesday 28 November.
Argos told us more products will be added to the sale throughout the month.
The retailer has a Black Friday Price Promise which means that items marked with the green Price Promise box bought between Wednesday 1 November and Tuesday 28 November will not go lower before Monday 1 January. That said, it's still important to do your research and compare prices with other retailers. And not all items in the Black Friday sale carry this promise.
Standard delivery starts at £3.95 for small items and £8.95 for large items such as sofas. Click and collect is free.
Argos has extended its return period so items purchased from Friday 29 September to Monday 25 December can be returned right up to Wednesday 31 January 2024.
Some deals, both good and bad, we found at 7.10am on Friday 24 November include:
- Nivea Mens Advent gift set – £25 (was £50). Price matched at Boots*
- Hugo Boss Orange Man 100ml EDT spray – £30 (was £65). Next cheapest £33.50 (Member Price) at Superdrug
- Oral-B Pro Series 3 electric toothbrush – £35 (was £100). CHEAPER at Currys* for £34.99
- Henry bagged corded cylinder vacuum cleaner – £120 (was £160). CHEAPER at Currys* for £119

- Sage SES880BTR4GUK1 barista touch espresso coffee machine – £800 (was £1,050). CHEAPER for £799 at Amazon*
Important: Don't allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don't need to or can't afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don't just take a retailer's word for it.

Argos 100s of items up to 50% off?
Last year, items included a Tower air fryer and Lego
ExpiredLast year, Argos* discounted hundreds of items for its Black Friday sale, including tech, household appliances and beauty products, spanning from Thursday 10 November until 11.59pm on Tuesday 29 November. New items were added to the sale at 9pm on Thursday 24 November, including discounts on popular items such as Lego sets and air fryers, so this could happen again for 2023.
It's worth noting that the discount didn't deepen, only new products were added to the sale over Black Friday weekend.
In 2022, we also found other retailers such as Amazon and Currys were price matching some sale items, although we didn’t find many examples where Argos was the cheapest overall.
If you're ordering online make sure you factor in delivery, which starts at £3.95 for small items, increasing to £8.95 for larger items such as furniture. Click and collect is free.
Some strong deals we found last year included:
- Tower T17079 3L air fryer – £30 (was £50). Next cheapest we found was £53.99 at Beales
- Lego Marvel Infinity Gauntlet Thanos set for adults – £45 (was £80). Price matched at Amazon
- Disney Frozen Kids' Bike Safety Helmet – £13.33 (was £20). Next cheapest was £20 at Wilko
However, we found some duds too. These included:
- Tower Vortx T17088 dual air fryer 9l – £120 (was £150). Next cheapest we found was £114 at Tesco but not available online
- JBL Tune 760NC On-Ear Wireless Headphones – £49.99 (was £99.99). CHEAPER at Very for £49
- Lego Icons Optimus Prime Transformers robot model set – £106.50 (was £160). CHEAPER at Amazon for £105.99
Important: Don't get caught up in the Black Friday hype, and keep our money mantras in mind: Only ever buy what you need and can afford. You should always do your own price comparisons to ensure you’ve found the best deal available – don't simply take a retailer's word for it.
