Sky broadband and home phone customers face outages across south east England, Leicester and Wales today, the telecoms provider has confirmed. It adds that it's investigating the problem and is working to restore service as soon as possible.

Nationwide has decided to axe its free European travel insurance offer for all existing FlexAccount  customers who still have it from 31 December. This follows its earlier decision to stop offering the perk to new FlexAccount customers back in December 2016.

Card provider American Express is making a number of changes to its two British Airways reward credit cards from 1 September. The shake-up will see annual fees hiked on one of the cards, while the spending threshold to earn a 'free' companion flight is falling on the other card - although users will only be able to redeem this on economy class tickets going forward. The contactless payment limit, which is the amount you can spend on card without entering a PIN, will rise from £45 to £100 from 15 October, it's been confirmed. It comes after chancellor Rishi Sunak formally announced the plans in the spring Budget.

Anyone aged 25 and under who is registered with a Scottish dental practice can now get free NHS treatment. The change takes force immediately and patients aren’t required to opt-in. Those who started a course of NHS treatment before their 26th birthday can also now get this for free.
