I've had a problem with Mighty Deals, why does Martin Lewis allow this to happen?
You'd be surprised at how many times we've been asked that. Yet while Money Expert sounds similar to this site, in other words MoneySavingExpert.com, founded by Martin Lewis, that's as far as it goes. They are totally different sites and it's MoneyExpert.com that owns Mighty Deals.
We should note, we're not necessarily saying that Mighty Deals gets more complaints than other daily deals sites, just that people complain to us about it because of the name similarity, so we see more.
So to confirm, Mighty Deals is nothing to do with MoneySavingExpert.com?
Correct, we're as separate as Twix and Twitter.
Okay I get it. So why have you written this guide then?
We get many emails concerning Mighty Deals or Money Expert from folks who mistakenly think we have a relationship. We deliberately wrote this guide so we could link to it when that happens.
And if we're honest we'd quite like it to appear high up in Google searches, so lots of people will know the difference and settle things once and for all.
After all we want to stand and fall by what we do - not by what another website with a similar name does.
So does MoneySavingExpert.com have a daily deals site?
No we don't. We do have the MSE Deals section though, which aims to bring you the very hottest deals around both from the internet and other publications and sources. We include the best daily deals from all sites there (including Mighty Deals when it has a blockbuster).
Would it help this to move higher up in search if I asked you again to clarify whether Martin Lewis has anything to do with Mighty Deals or MoneyExpert?
It may do, so thanks for asking. To clarify, no Martin doesn't have anything to do with Mighty Deals or Money Expert. Martin is the founder and editor in chief of MoneySavingExpert.com,and the two are entirely unrelated.
