A special thank-you.  I've just recorded a big BBC1 TV prog (on in a couple of weeks).  On such occasions I can't mention the site, yet one MoneySaver taking part in the audience discussion gave it a genuinely unprompted plug.  Fantastic. It really made my day.  Thank you. You know who you are (let's just hope they don't cut it out).

That's it for this week.  It'd be great if you'd tell friends and family about the site and the e-mail.

I hope you save some money

CD-Wow forced to add £2 to prices, starting Sunday

Sorry to send an extra-tip but its urgent, so I'll keep it short,

Discount CD supplier, CD-Wow has been forced to cave in to the UK record industry and add £2 to its prices - this happens from Jan 24 (this Sunday).  Essentially its been told its imports from outside Europe are ‘too cheap' and better put its prices up to get in line.  Frankly I find it staggering, at a time when the record industry is trying to stave off illegal copies,  it is stopping cheap legit sales.   I know the ‘CD-wow' discount tips I've sent in the past have been very popular, that's why I thought I'd let you know while there's still time.

To get in before price rise:  If you're buying CDs before the price rise, here is a link to further reductions so Top 75 CDs are mostly £6.99 including delivery. Chat Tip

For hints & tips for after price rise: To discuss hints and tips for cheap buying AFTER 24th Chat Discussion: click here.

BBC News online coverage:  click here.

Vent your (non-libellous) rage (or support the measure if you choose): click here

That's it, back to normal tip format next week.
