Hi MoneySavers.  It's a busy e-mail this time.  Lots of gems in there – and TWO (count'em) loopholes!  Poetry!

Latest Deal Article - Best Card For Purchases:  What's the best credit card for spending, if you can't always payback in full.  You can get 8 month 0% and cashback on top if you're canny. Article: click here

Loophole Alert T-Mobile Contract Holders: T-mobile has added a £1/month charge for itemised billing.  A clever Chat room bod spotted that as this a price increase above RPI, it breaks T-mobile's price guarantee – which means if this applies to you, it's a rare ‘get out of jail free' card – if you want to cancel your contract and get a refund, you can. I've spoken to T-mobile and it has confirmed, this is true. For further info Chat Tip: click here

Save on MOT bills: Another top chat tip – it's argued using County Councils own MOT testing centres cuts costs, as they don't do repairs so there's less incentive for them to unnecessarily fail you.  Well worth car owners reading. Chat Discussion: Click here

Urgent Loophole Reminder Free £100 of Cahoot's Cash:  Internet Bank Cahoot has a promotion for new & existing customers ending on 29th Feb.  It's offering two lots of free £50s, for transferring either £1,500 to its credit card or loan.  I've devised loopholes allowing both those without any debts to still get the cash, and ways to get the cash without paying interest. Cheapest Personal loans: The loan market is still very hot, 5.9% is the cheapest available, I've suspicions these rates won't last much longer.  As personal loan rates are fixed over the loan's life, if you have to borrow, now is a good time.  Article: Click here

Quick Chat Tips Interlude

Greasy Palm Users Note:  GP is an internet cashback scheme, which pays out quite generously when you sign up for certain products.  The chap who runs the site, is replying to questions in the Chat room, so if you want to harang him.  Click here

Yo-yoing Lloyds TSB paying 4.5% on current account again! Lloyds is again paying a top rate of 4.5% and offering a 0% overdraft.  It only dropped it for 10 days! (Lloyds assures me anyone who signed up in that time will get the new higher rate).  However it's well worth looking at and doing quick – who knows how long it'll last this time.  Article: click here

Ugh. Ugh. Spit.  Ugh - Tax Deadline Reminder: If you received a self-assessment form the 2002 – 2003 tax year, you MUST return it by 31st Jan or they will fine you.  There's a ‘cutting tax' discussion section in the Chat Forum click here.

Thank you from Whizz-Kidz: I've been asked to send a thank you to all the MoneySavers who clicked on the Whizz-Kidz (the children's mobility charity) website to get them their £0.25s.  It has reached the £50,000 target, and Whizz-Kidz wanted to pay tribute to people from this website, who played a substantial part in that.

This Money Tip is dedicated to…… one of the site's users, Don, who tradgically lost his little girl when she was just 50 days old.  He's running the London Marathon this year and is looking for sponsorship to go to the ‘Foundation for Study of Infants Deaths' who helped.  Therefore may I ask, if this e-mail saves you money and you're feeling minted, it'd be great if you sponsored him £1 (or more) as payment. Ringing up a future note: On Sunday I'll publish my ‘cheapest home phone' recommendations on the site.  It's the nastiest piece of work I ever undertake (6 days & a spread sheet comparing 100s of them) yet the savings are huge.  As Im taking a break next week, I won't be sending a tip – so to get the info quick, check out the site from Sunday onward.

That's it folks.  As always please tell everyone you know to check out the site and sign up for the e-mail

I hope you save some money

Martin
