The competition watchdog has announced plans to review the PCR travel tests market amid concerns that the price, reliability and quality of service provided could be creating a barrier for families wanting to travel abroad. A response will be provided by the Competition and Markets Authority within the next month.

Meanwhile, almost half (46%) of dog owners spend more than £1,250 a year on their furry friend, compared to just 15% of cat owners who spend the same.

Tesco Bank is temporarily declining requests from some existing customers to switch their current account to a new provider. The supermarket giant says it's struggling after being inundated with requests to switch following its announcement last month to close all of its 213,000 current accounts by 30 November 2021.

Deals website Groupon faces court action unless it improves how it treats its customers, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has said. It comes after the watchdog found Groupon failed to provide some customers with cash refunds they were legally entitled to, only offering credit instead.

Borrowers with mis-selling claims against Glo, Greenwood, Provident or Satsuma likely won't now get the full amount they're owed. It comes after the High Court approved a new scheme put forward by the firms' parent company, Provident Financial, which will limit payouts and set a time restriction on claims. But don't let that put you off if you think you've been mis-sold, as you could be due £100s.
