The following text was e-mailed as the Money Tip on 3rd November 2003
Seems to have been a tip fest with three in the last week, sorry if I've clogged your e-mail up. Couldn't not send this one though – the first one is a cracker and reasonably urgent
Loophole: Free £150 of Cahoot's Cash: The internet bank Cahoot has just launched a new promotion. There are three lots of free £50 available, and by playing the system quite easily many people will be able to get one or two of them. Click here to read a full article about how to do it.
Why not forward this e-mail to friends and family to give them free cash too?
£3 off DVDs at CD Wow (chat tip): Someone's spotted a couple of vouchers to get big discounts of already cheap DVDs. Click here
Potential Rate Rises on Thursday – if you need a loan, get it now: Many economists are suggesting the UK's interest rates may go up on Thursday. Remember personal loan rates are fixed over the life of the loan, so if you're planning to get one soon, its worth considering doing it a.s.a.p. Click here to read a full deal on getting the cheapest loans.
Directory Enquiries – the cheapest (and free calls): I thought it was time for a reminder. 118-888 and 118-800 are the two cheapest numbers, (20p and 19p a min, though the service on 118-800 is oft criticised). Remember though, its free if you do it on the internet, or make free calls using my One-Tel loophole system. Click here for a full article.
The Great Free Text Messages Hunt (and others): It's possible to text for free via the internet to both to UK and International mobiles. Click here to read more or report more offers. Plus take a look at the other ‘hunts' The Great Bargain Christmas Toys Hunt, ‘The Great Christmas Shopping Vouchers Hunt', ‘The Great Free Cash Casino Hunt', ‘The Great 0% Barclaycard Hunt' (this is about the original loophole forms not the new ones click here for explanation), and the ‘Great Cheapest Pay as You Go Mobile Hunt'
Sweets and Treats: Off the money saving tack, there's a wonderfully evocative Chat about old-fashioned sweets (sherbet lemons, cherry lips etc) including a wee website that sells them all. Click here. Plus try the current site poll- a bit of a conceptual maths question Click here (surely a treat!)
To Ask A Question: Please don't email me directly to ask a question – just click here and simply pop one in the Questions section of the Chat board. It will be answered much more quickly there.
That's it for this week, do take a look at the Cahoot deal, it really is a cracker, though Cahoot can cherry pick its customers, meaning not all new applicants will get cards.
I hope you save some money.
Martin
