New Ryanair checker, Travel Insurance, One-Tel new champ, New FAQ, Don't get a Barclaycard, Spam protection, my mobile triumph & much more.

Hello again, I'm quite chuffed this week. The new Ryanair checker is a cracker and hopefully there's going to be more soon, plus see the end note & do take time to nominate a charity.

NEW MoneySavers Ryanair under £5 flight checker now for May to July:

This web software was designed for free by site user Adam. It trawls all the available Ryanair flights, and creates a user friendly list. You select where you want to go, & whether you want flights under £5, £10 or £25 & it tells you when it's cheapest. Originally it was just for the ‘May Madness' sale, but the new one lasts until July. There are loads of Spain & Italy flights for under a tenner. More info.

Travel insurance, slam down the cost:

Trip abroad more than twice a year and annual travel insurance policies are the winner. I've done a brand new survey to find the cheapest (including over 65s). Plus details of how to find the cheapest single trip policies (and backpackers insurance) too. Full Article

BREAKING NEWS: One-Tel takes lead in phones market.

One-Tel has announced price changes shooting it to number one in the home phone telecom market. This is so new I've not had time for a full article yet, for a summary click here. Discuss it here

Completely New FAQ:

There's a totally revamped Q&A section on the site, replacing the rather old one (a remnant from the site's launch). It covers some practical questions the articles don't deal with on Mortgages, Insurance, Savings, Internet Banking, Credit & debt, telephones, Travel, Currency and more. Have a look.

URGENT: DO NOT APPLY FOR A BARCLAYCARD!

Today BC launches a new website offer of 0% lasting until February 2005. While this is nearly a best buy, don't touch it. Next month it will almost certainly launch the longest ever 0% offer – a year's interest free. This will be a ‘new customer' only offer. Therefore don't apply now or you won't be a ‘new customer' when that comes around. Of course I'll keep let you know (via this e-mail) as soon as it happens. Ask a question or discuss it.

Make one call for 300 cross network minutes, 100 extra texts and a new camera phone:

Now, I admit I'm showing off here, but that's the deal I negotiated today with my mobile phone provider just by making a phone call. It was quite easy, all I did was tell up if I didn't get a better package I'd leave. Try it yourself and then reply to this to let me know how you did Full story and report your success/failures.

Quick note – email title:

You may've noticed this email was just titled ‘Martin's Money Tips', that's because when I try and use the title to tell you what's in it – spam filters seems to block the e-mail – so from now on it'll always be titled Martin's Money Tips. Sorry.

New Site Charities – who do you want £30,000 to go to?
The site has a charity fund, and its success over the last year means nearly £13,000 has been donated to its five charities. It's time to pick new ones, anyone can nominate them during the next week, then I'll ask you to vote for your favourite in the site poll. I've no idea how much the site'll be able to give over the next year, but it could be £30,000. Nominate your charity here. Look at the current charities

That's it this week. As always please do tell everyone you know to come along and sign up to the e-mail, the more MoneySavers, the more power we all get. Why not e-mail your address book and recommend everyone joins up (huzzah!).

I hope you save some money

Martin

PS. Am very sad I didn't send this out on Tuesday, which apparently was World Star Wars day. May the 4th be with you.
