Another huge week of tips.  There's so much money to be saved.  I won't delay you.

STOP PAYING INTEREST ON OVERDRAFTS & LOANS.  Full new deal article.  I'm so often asked whether it's possible to use credit cards to pay off overdrafts & loans. It is (and there's another way too) I've written a full article on it.  Read it

THE GREAT ‘HOW TO GET A FLIGHT UPGRADE' HUNT:  It's been a long while since I launched a great hunt.  So here's one.  The aim is to tap all MoneySavers collective knowledge to find the best way to get a flight upgrade.  Any airline workers who want to help and chip in (anonymity allowed) please do! CHEAPEST PET, DENTAL & PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE: Having last week filled the site's omission of a home insurance article, time for three more this week.  These aren't full ‘Deals', but quick hit ways to try and cut your cost and help find cheaper policies.  Read them.

BEATING THE ODDS – AN INTRODUCTION:  MoneySaver Tim has written two fantastic guides to using gambling site introductory offers to make free cash.  The main guide is here, with a specialised beating the bookies one here.  Some make serious cash from doing this, but that takes careful play, research, time & dedication.  Remember this isn't about gambling, (that ain't MoneySavnig) just taking advantage of deals.  I thought long and hard before including this, but this e-mail's to adults.  Still be careful! And of course this site accepts no liability for any mistakes!

SPECIAL REMINDER: HALIFAX FREE CASH £50 CARDHOLDERS.  It's almost nine months since the £50 free cash Halifax loophole, and uncoincidentally nine months was the 0% offer length.  If you've debts on the card, it's time to balance transfer it away, plus stop using it for spending.  Read the following articles (though remember Halifax One is likely to be off-limits for you, so go for next best) Best Balance Transfer article, Best Card for Purchases article. MORTGAGE SPECIAL.  Things have settled since the 0.25% UK rate rise a fortnight ago.  This means the playing field is now roughly level for making mortgage comparisons.

Cheaper Mortgages.  Variable or discount rate mortgage repayments will rise this month.  A further 0.5%-0.75% is predicted by the end of the year. To reduce costs read ‘Sneakily get the best mortgage advice for free, ‘Guide to Remortgaging or ‘Mortgages for those with poor credit.' 
Savings for those who can't move their mortgage. My book the Money Diet explains how to turn an inflexible mortgage into a flexible one.  Another massive saving, £500+ annually, is possible on Mortgage Payment Protection insurance and Mortgage life assurance.
