Hiya.  Well finally it's happened.  MoneySavingExpert has merchandise.  Don't worry though, it's special T-shirts we're auctioning with all proceeds going to the site's charities.  Please do bid. See below.

LOOPHOLE.  BATTER INTEREST DOWN BY £100S WITHOUT NEW CARDS.
It's the last thing credit card providers want you to know.  It's possible to massively cut interest costs without any new credit by manipulating existing customer offers. It's perfect both for those oft rejected for new credit and those wanting to protect their credit score.  New Article: The Credit Card Shuffle

FIRST CLASS POSTAGE STAMPS FIVE PERCENT OFF. Pile in and pile 'em up.  Until 25 December Superdrug is selling books of stamps at 5% off.  It's effectively a cash give-away as they don't ever date.  First Class Information

CASH ISA LIMITS TO STAY AT £3,000.  Best buy pays 5.3%.  Last week the Chancellor scrapped plans to drop the annual cash ISA limit to £1,000 in 2006.  So £3,000 of tax free savings a year are still possible.  Related Articles:  Top Cash ISA, Savings fountain, Best Buy Instant Access Savings.

SHOCKING £400 SCHOOL TRIPS.  While out filming a money make-over I spotted a £400 'school trip' note.  I was shocked.  It's a lot of money, and for a family with severe debt a real stress.  No parent wants to 'deprive' their child.  What's your view? How do you deal with this?

BARCLAYCARD DITCHING PRICE PROMISE & FREE EXTENDED WARRANTY: Barclaycard will ditch these two freebie services in January.
Ditch details. Thankfully it still allows the 'Buy Xmas Gifts At Jan Sales Prices' loophole to continue this Christmas.

USA CALLS FOR FREE.  The Post Office has launched a £5 Xmas phonecard allowing calls to the USA free on Saturdays, but it isn't without catches. Land of the free.  Alternatively find the cheapest provider to call any country:

TONIGHT WITH TREVOR MAC CHRISTMAS DEBTS SPECIAL.  Friday 10th 8pm ITV1.  I'm presenting this one.  It includes a seriously eye opening case.  Do watch.  Plus amongst other stuff, I've phone-ins on Radio 2 and Talk Sport, so call if you've questions. See upcoming media appearances

That's it for this week.  Please do put a bid on the t-shirts.  And, dare I say it?  Can you think of a better Xmas present for your friends and family than recommending they join the distribution list for this email?

I hope you save some money

Martin
