Hiya. There's nothing about the budget here. Every paper, programme, man and his dog can tell you about that, so welcome to a budget free, MoneySaving rich zone!

GO QUICK! NEW SAVINGS ACCOUNT PAYING OVER 10% INTEREST. The non-profit Charity Bank's new account allows savers to effectively earn up to 10% a year, providing you can lock the cash away for 5 years. It invests the money in charities, it has tax advantages. It's a cracking deal, but go quick - it's limited. Full new article.
Charity Bank Bonanza.

NEW LOOPHOLE! How to find out your credit score for free (normally £11.75). Details

URGENT! NEW TOP CASHBACK CREDIT CARD. If you pay debts off in full every month, plastic can pay. Citibank's new Platinum card is the first 1% cashback Visa available for ages. Being a Visa is important as while Amex cards pay more, they're less accepted. You can't apply direct as it's a short term exclusive deal via some commercial websites, but I've managed to grab a link. Citibank Plat (Apply/View*) or, better, read best cashback cards including other options.

PLAYSTATION 2 £84.99. A great spot from the Chat Forum. Boots sells PS2s for £104.99, yet there's a (legally available) voucher for 20% off any Boots online spend over £40 (this can also be used with any other big purchases). Do
take the PS.

COMIC RELIEF PLEDGE RAISES £2,387. Last week I pledged 50p for each new recipient of this free e-mail from Wed to Sun. 4,774 more people were added so over £2k's been donated. Pls keep recommending people sign up though. The more MoneySavers, the more companies quake!

CALL1899 OFFERS FREE PC-TO-PHONE INT'L. CALLS. Call1899 (should be familiar to regular MoneySavers) is offering calls to the UK, Canada and Germany for 0p/minute without any connection charge. The catch? Firstly this is a test product only for those already signed up and you have to make the call via your computer to a normal phone.

GREAT CHEAP KIDS' EASTER DAYS OUT HUNT.
Finding something to keep the kids quiet without burning a hole in your pocket can be tough. I thought I'd tap MoneySavers' collective knowledge to create a list of things to do all parents can make use of. Read/ add suggestions. Past Hunts: Boots Bargains and Plasma TV Hunts.

M'SAVINGS FOUNTAIN. The most common savings question I'm asked is 'I know you say what the best accounts are, but should I use a cash ISA, a savings acccount, or a regular saver?' so I thought I'd point out the answer is what I call m'
Savings Fountain.

FLIGHTCHECKER UPGRADED. Thanks for all your feedback on the
FlightChecker. Now you can choose the options 'fly from anywhere' or 'London all airports' so you can check flights from everywhere at once. The day of the week is displayed, and if you put your mouse over the result it spells everything out. Sales Watch. Ryanair is giving 33% off its lowest fares until midnight Thursday.

That's it for this week. However, one final note. I found some old real player files of things I did as a BBC reporter a few years ago. It was surprising how much my voice has changed so just for fun I put together a little note with some of the links that may amuse you. And do visit the site on Thursday (St Patrick's Day) to see the latest incarnation of my photo.

I hope you save some money
