Hiya. I've decided to give a boost to the site's new charity fund with my 50p pledge for each new recipient of this free e-mail (details below). Please do recommend your friends and family join the list.

SLICE THE COST OF USING YOUR MOBILE WHEN ABROAD. Roam for less Even if you just receive calls on your mobile when abroad, you pay large. It's easy to rack up £100s a week on holiday mobile use, yet there's a system-beating way round it. New Article.
Mobile Roaming.

NEW TOP SAVINGS ACCOUNT. 5.4% Instant Access. Indian Bank ICICI has launched a UK subsidiary offering a whopping 5.4% instant access from £1 up, a massive winner. Full pros & cons:
Instant Access Savings article.

IN-CAR DVD PLAYER WITH 7 INCH SCREEN £60. Nothing clever
just a bargain.

M'CHARITY PLEDGE. 50p per new UK recipient of this email – pass it on! Your
vote for the site's new charities is in, so I'm pledging 50p for everyone who joins this free e-mails' distribution list by Monday night. Please recommend friends and family join at www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips. The charities are the Samaritans, Re-Cycle, Wateraid, CAP debt counselling and Send a Cow (more info). (For info on how a non-profit driven site can do this read about the site's revenue).

25% OFF HALIFAX ONLINE HOME INSURANCE. This new discount means it substantially undercuts the market for around a third of homes. Don't go direct though, follow the
Home Insurance Cost Cutting article especially as ‘Step 3' pinpoints a 'screen scraping' service which includes Halifax and compares it to others. Related article. Car Insurance Cost Cutting.

FIXED RATE MORTGAGES GETTING CHEAP! The UK's base rate hasn't changed, yet the long term city rates which guide fixed rates have dropped. Forget the gobbledygook, it means fixed rates are a lot cheaper than they were - you can now get a 5 year fix at 4.54%! Time to remortgage. Free Remortgage Guide. Printed or Instant PDF Download.

NAME AND SHAME! AOL now profits when you complain! AOL's traditional 'free customer service calls' stance is now being ditched for a hideous 8p/min 0870 number. Worse still it's confirmed that when you call, even to complain, it gets a cut of this 8p, profiting even if you're on hold. It's a slap in the face to AOL customers.
Discuss. To beat 0870 numbers read the Say no to 0870 article (including an update on Ofcom's report). Related Articles. Cheapest Internet Access, Cheapest Broadband.

GREAT 'COSMETICS COST CUTTING' HUNT. One for the ladies! Make-up, hair-care and the rest can cost heavily so this hunt's for MoneySavers to swap ideas on cost cutting - using different products, cheap places to buy, the best 'non-brands' - it's up to you.

CALL GERMANY FOR 3p NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU TALK! Call1899 now charges just 3p to call Germany, no matter how long you speak for. For this and the cheapest way to call other countries see the

HSBC PRICE PROMISE LOOPHOLE! The HSBC Bank Account has launched a price promise, so buy something via its debit card and then find it cheaper elsewhere within 60 days and it'll pay you the difference. Sounds good, but the amount itself is pants; yet nothing stops you opening one alongside your normal account, and only using it to buy something relevant More Details Related Article. MARTIN'S MONEY POSER. One for money-hungry swingers. What's the link between these numbers 7,560,000 and 7,200,000? (clue: only a money-hungry swinger will get it!)
Answer/see others' ideas. Past Money Posers What's the next number?, A common question, Caesar's solution.

Vote or discuss. Also, see last week's Sunday Trading Poll results.

That's it, but before I go a quick nerdy note to fellow Monopoly fans (I love the game, I've even discussed with my publisher writing a book on how to win at it. Fits really doesn't it?) Anyway if you've not seen it already, take a look at Monopoly Live. You can play with real taxis speeding around London.

I hope you save some money
