Completely new cheapest home phone solution: ditch 18866 - it's easily beatable
I've substantially undercut my old cheapest home phone recommendation.  In a nutshell get the Just Dial's Saver Lite package which has free evening and weekend calls at no monthly fee (except BT line rental) then set up an account with call1899. The combination costs little more than half BT's cost. New Article: 'UK's Cheapest Home Phone'.

The current account war's hotting up.  Responding to competition Alliance & Leicester's improved its overdraft offering. It's now 0% for new customers for the first year followed by 5.9%, which is the cheapest standard overdraft rate available. 2 For 1 London days out; treat the family this October
This offer's available on a whole bunch of London attractions (e.g. the Zoo & Madame Tussauds). The catch is you need that day's valid train ticket, yet even if you're not using the train you can get a cheap single for £2ish and still qualify to save up to £14! Full info or see the Days Out Forum.

Lewis is talking a load of poo! Cut the cost of nappies
A rash of savings (sorry) are available on nappy buying. After looking at the finances of a family with newborn triplets for Make Me Rich, I thought a nappy saving article was due.  There are many ways to save including little-publicised local government grants available for re-usable nappies and cost-cutting for disposables too. Double Discount Car Insurance Loophole! First successes reported - 4 weeks left!
Nationwide* is offering 'double the difference' if you find a cheaper equivalent quote. So a month ago I suggested you get its quote, then use m'Car Insurance Cost Cutting System to find an even cheaper one and reclaim double the discount. Now the first successes are coming in with people reporting getting a couple of hundred extra quid off the cheapest. More Info/Discuss/See Successes Related Article: Cheapest Home Insurance.
