Q. What one thing'd you tell the nation? A. About life of balance credit cards!
On the radio last Friday I was asked what one thing'd help to eliminate the UK's debts? My answer: Life of balance cards let you shift debts from other cards to them at a special low rate that lasts until all the debt you've moved is repaid - much easier than chasing 0% offers. The only rule ... never, ever, ever, ever spend on the card - do that and providers have many tricks to claw their cash back. Current lowest: Amex* and BA Amex* are both 4.9% life of balance.
