A victory for those with children. Hiya, I'm passionate about childcare vouchers, an official scheme that effectively allows you to pay for childcare from your pre-tax income, often saving £1000s. Sadly teachers were blocked from using it for their children, but happily the Govt. has reneged after lobbying. Updated Article. Please tell teachers and others you know with kids about this.

Pls spread the word. Suggest friends join this free email's distribution list too.

Got existing credit card debts? Smash the cost. New Best Balance Transfers article
Seismic shifts are happening in the credit card world. Yesterday Amex said it would no longer allow new customers to shift debt to it. For many, 0% to 0% tarting is now bad news. Instead, the easy option of a one-off move to a long term permanent cheap rate wins - the cheapest being Intelligence Finance at 4.95% life of balance (i.e. the cheap rate lasts until all the debt shifted is repaid). So I've restructured the article to help you decide whether to tart and what the best deals are now. URGENT! £5 free no-strings world cup bet. Skybet's got a promotion for a fiver bet on the world cup, closing midnight Wed. Of course gambling in general isn't MoneySaving and needs a wealth warning. However doing it with the bookies cash is! Free Bet

An extra £50 cash on Home and now Car insurance! New Extra Cost Cutting Step
My standard system for massive home and car insurance savings is a four step plan based around screenscraping websites; where your details are whizzed to scores of brokers and direct insurers to find the cheapest. Now Barclays promises anyone over 25 who hasn't claimed in the last two years, that if it can't beat your renewal quote, it'll match it (providing it isn't over £100 cheaper) and give you £50 on top! Thus follow the four-step plan, and if it doesn't beat your renewal quote by £50, get a quote from Barclays. Debt Problems? It's fine to get married, just don't share a bank account! Quick MoneySaving Tip
A poor credit history is infectious, yet isn't caught by marriage or living together, but by sharing financial products. These days, when you're credit scored, it's totally independent from anyone you live with or are married to, unless you've a joint finances, eg a joint bank account or mortgage. So if one of you've had a poor history, avoid any joint products, then at least the others will still have the ability to gain cheap new credit which could help cut debt costs. Related Articles:

The Don't Forgets

Endowment misselling! The deadline for complaints is closing in, but there's a chink of light. Act Quick
This week I've had notes from 6 more people who read my nag to complain. In total they received £22,000 back. It only takes an hour to do the forms. Currently there's a deadline; fail to complain within 3 years of getting a red letter showing a shortfall and you miss your chance - thankfully someone is now challenging this deadline in court. Even so, act quick! You can complain for free yourself without letting a claim handler snaffle your cash. Which is higher, your spending or your earnings? Find Out!
Spend more than you earn and you'll quickly build unsustainable debts (or chomp away your savings). Sadly most budgets are flawed, missing out spending categories, and looking over too short periods. To combat this I designed a special budget planner in the first edition of the Money Diet*. One reader liked it so much, as a thank you he reworked it into a (free of course) easy to use automated version. I think it's a good time for a reminder. Read and download: The Budget Planner

Scrabble Champagne Poser. That's it for this week, but before I go, I wanted to ask a question.
