Be nice to your bank! Hiya. Shocked to read that from me? Don't worry, it's very specific. Recently I've been urging people to take on the banks & Reclaim Unfair Charges, yet that's for those who've received £100s worth. For one-off fines a simple, apologetic call will often see them wipe it anyway. Even better, budget well or make at least the minimum repayment (on credit cards) so you're never charged.

Please forward this to friends and family, so they can see what's possible too and suggest they join the distribution list for this free weekly e-mail.

12 free bottles of wine and/or the top ethical bank account. New Loophole!
Online bank Smile has relaunched its current account promotion. Open one before 9 July and it'll give you a dozen bottles of wine. To qualify, you only need to credit the account with £1,500 before 3 Sept. The money doesn't have to stay there so it can then be withdrawn immediately (and earns 3.04% interest in the meantime). So you could just grab the wine without using the account, or genuinely switch as it's the top 'ethical' bank account. View/apply:
