QUICK TIPS ON OTHER WINE STORES

There are many more cheap wine stores.

This is the tool's first incarnation and we plan to add more (Waitrose coming soon). Please suggest those you like.

Top codes & vouchers.

While some stores give high discounts off list prices, others give discounts via codes and vouchers instead (we've listed latest codes and vouchers below).

Check other stores.

Supermarkets, especially Asda, can have corking in-store deals. Always compare prices elsewhere including via MySupermarket*, Wines Direct or local wine merchants.

Tesco Wine logoTesco Wine £15 off £100 spend*MSE Blagged code valid on all wine/champagne, incl sale

5,000 avail

If you're a new or existing Tesco Wine* customer, you can get £15 off when you spend £100 online on any wine or champagne by entering the MSE Blagged code XXTYLT. And even better, it works on special offers and reduced cases.

The code's valid until Sun 2 Oct, or whenever all 5,000 codes go, whichever is sooner. So go quick if you want it.

Obviously, £100 is a big minimum spend so we know this deal won't be for everyone. However, it's a good chance to stock up if you do buy wine regularly - though please be Drinkaware.

Examples of reduced cases

As many cases are under £100, you might need to buy more than one case (you can't buy bottles individually) for the code to work:

You can only use one code per order, and you need to buy a minimum of six bottles.

Use our Wine Discount Finder to search for other corking deals. Delivery’s free (usually £6) on all orders over £60.

Giordano logo12 bottles of wine & 12-piece dinner set £60*Via Giordano Wines. Plus 6 Italian 'delicacies', incl risotto

Ends 31 Dec

If you go online to Italian wine merchant Giordano* by 31 Dec 2016, you can get 12 bottles of wine, six porcelain dinner plates, six bowls and six Italian 'food delicacies' for £59.95, including delivery.

The wine is made by Giordano and the food is sourced locally in Italy, so it's difficult to compare prices, but £60 is usually a decent price for 12 bottles of wine as you'd effectively be getting them for £5 each. So if you're after some new plates and you'll use the Italian ingredients as well, this deal could work out great for you.

You'll be able to choose whether you want red wine, white wine or a mixed case, but you won't be able to choose specific bottles.

The Italian food includes:

  • Pesto sauce 130g
  • Fusilli tri-coloured pasta 250g
  • Modena balsamic vinegar 250ml
  • Amaretti all'Arancio 200g
  • Risotto alla Parmigiana 175g
  • Extra virgin olive oil 500ml

This deal was popular with MoneySavers when we featured it last year. Please let us know your feedback (good or bad) in our Giordano forum discussion.

Section 75

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.

And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
