Scholastic logo£1 kids' books, eg, Horrid Henry, Famous Five*190+ titles. Also £3 teachers' resources. £10 min spend

Expired

If you go online to kids' bookseller Scholastic* you can choose from more than 190 children's book titles for between 50p and £2 each (most are £1), until 11.59pm on Fri 14 Jul. For teachers, there are a couple of teaching resources for just £3 each (normally up to £30).

There's a £10 minimum spend and delivery's £3 - so it's best for stocking up on lots of books in one go. Though stock can be limited, so go quick if you're after anything in particular.

Note: Scholastic's sale page is a little bit unusual. It's essentially an online order form, so you simply scroll down the list and type a number in the 'QTY' (quantity) boxes below all the books you want to buy, then press 'Place order' at the bottom of the page. You'll then be asked to give your delivery details, but will be given chance to review what's in your basket before you pay.

Scholastic logoScholastic 10 kids' books £10, £5 off £30 codes*MSE Blagged codes good for stocking up on kids' books

Expired

Scholastic book dealsIf your kids love reading, we've blagged two discount codes to use online at Scholastic*, valid until 11.59pm on Mon 26 Jun.

The first code gets 10 books for £10 from a selection of about 150 kids' titles - including Roald Dahl, Jacqueline Wilson, Disney and Lego - while the second gets £5 off £30+ orders. You can either choose the code that works best for you, or use both together on one order.

Delivery's £3.95, but if you're spending £25+ it's free, so the codes are ideal for stocking up.

Scholastic Code 1... £10 kids' books for £10 (plus delivery)

Go online to Scholastic's 10 kids' books for £10* deal and once you've chosen 10 books simply enter the MSE Blagged code 10FOR10 at the checkout before you enter your card details. The deal works on multiples (ie, 20 books for £20 and so on), and, if spending £30 or more after the discount's been applied, you can also use the code below to get an extra £5 off your order.

Scholastic Code 2... £5 off £30+ spend

Although we're suggesting you stack it with the offer above to maximise the savings, our second code's actually valid on everything Scholastic sells, including thousands of kids' books and teachers' resources. Simply enter 5OFF30 at the checkout before you pay.

Yet it's worth noting Scholastic isn't always cheapest. For example, The Works also has a 10 books for £10 offer (plus £2.99 delivery), so always compare prices elsewhere.

For help using the codes, see 'more info' below.

MSE Anthony says:

For every £1 spent, Scholastic donates 20p to a school of your choice - you'll be asked to pick a school during checkout. While this on its own isn't a reason to buy, it's a nice bonus.

Where do I put the codes?

Add your books to the basket then go through to checkout and fill in your delivery info. Before entering payment details, click 'Enter a promotional code' (image below) and type in the code you want to use. If using both, enter them one at a time.

Your final order summary should look something like this...

There's a £10 minimum spend and delivery's £3 - so it's best for those who want to stock up. As always with this sale, stock is somewhat limited - so go quick if you're after a particular book. A few examples we spotted on Mon 23 Jan:

Or 10 kids' picture books for £10...

Rival bookseller The Works has a very similar deal where if you buy 10 young kids' picture books they're reduced to £1 each - plus there's currently a code for free delivery (norm £3). This might work out better for parents of very young readers. For more info, see 10 books for £10.

Scholastic kids' book saleIf you go online to kids' bookseller Scholastic* you'll find more than 150 titles for £1-£2 each in its sale until 11.59pm on Fri 20 May. There's a £10 minimum spend and delivery's £3, so it's best for parents who want to stock up on lots of new books in one go.

Scholastic logoScholastic 30 kids' books £25 delivered*Via code for sale items used on '10 for £10' offer

Expired

Scholastic book dealsIf your kids love reading, here's a smart way of buying them 30 new books for just £25, including delivery, which works out as about 83p a book.

It involves using an MSE Blagged code to buy already-reduced books in the Scholastic sale, but to maximise the saving you can cleverly stack it with a '10 for £10' deal within its sale.

Here's how to do it

Go online to Scholastic's 10 books for £10* deal. There are 300+ titles to choose from in this part of its sale section, including everything from Peppa Pig to Peter Rabbit, Minions, Ninja Turtles, Jurassic World, Where's Wally and Disney's Frozen. Some of the books are festive-themed, so could be stashed away for Christmas.

Once you've picked 30 books, enter the MSE Blagged code JAN165 to get £5 off at the checkout, making it £25 all-in. Delivery's free (though it's £3.95 if your order's less than £25).

You might want to club together with other parents and split the £25 cost between you.

If you can't find 30 books you want to buy...

Although we're suggesting you stack it with the other offer to make a bigger saving, our code's actually valid on the entire Scholastic sale*, which includes more than 1,600 books in total.

We've spotted classic Roald Dahl stories for £3 each, and all seven Harry Potter books in one set for £29.99. These aren't in the '10 for £10' offer, but can be used with our blagged code and we couldn't find either of them cheaper elsewhere.

Scholastic's prices aren't always cheapest though, so do your own comparisons before you buy. If you're spending £50+ you can use the code JAN1610 to get £10 off instead.
