Dublin-based airline Ryanair has told a customer seeking flight delay compensation that it won't accept the jurisdiction of the British legal system, in a move that has raised questions over the future of how delay compensation is dealt with once a claim's been escalated to the courts.

Currency bureau Travelex has continued to accept applications from new customers for its Supercard, despite the fact that a technical glitch has meant that delivery of the travel cards has been suspended. If you don't want to wait for your Supercard, there are rival cards available offering similar exchange rates.

More than four million banking customers benefitted from fee-free basic accounts during the opening six months of 2016, according to Government figures. But if you've a basic account with Lloyds or Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) that you opened before the start of the year, you may still be paying a fee and should consider upgrading or switching.
